Our beautiful Sil

In Loving Memory of Our Beautiful Sil 

Our beautiful Sil was so many things to so many people — an incredible Mum, Nonna, sister, wife, Zia, cousin and treasured friend. She was a powerhouse of a woman, full of love, strength, warmth and generosity, and she left an incredible mark on everyone lucky enough to know her. 

Losing Sil to stomach cancer has left a void in our family that can never be filled. Her absence is felt every day, but so is the love she gave us — and that love will never leave us.

We are coming together to raise funds in Sil’s honour, with the hope that through greater awareness, research and support, we can help make a difference for those affected by stomach cancer and, one day, help stop this devastating disease.

Tonight, in Sil’s memory, we will each wear a touch of yellow — yellow roses were her favorite and yellow also being a symbol of hope and remembrance. 

We’ll also be celebrating one of Sil’s many incredible talents by recreating her delicious dishes, because anyone who knew her, knew Sil was the most amazing cook. For me, cooking her recipes keeps her memory alive forever.
