Tell everyone a little about what you are accepting donations for
I am passionate about raising awareness and funding to support those on their journey of managing a cancer diagnosis.Â
I
am offering a 60 min Yoga Nidra session, that you can experience in the
comfort of your home. The session will be hosted via zoom at 8:30pm ADST Sunday
5th October, which is (for many of us) the day after we lose 1 hour
due to Daylight Savings. I invite you to please register for the session using this link so I can send you the zoom details (Register HERE for Yoga Nidra via TryBookings) in addition to making a donation here on this page.Â
Yoga Nidra means Yogic
sleep - a deep relaxation and meditation technique that cultivates a
state of conscious awareness between waking and sleeping. This is practiced lying down in Savasana pose (on your back). I will invite and guide you through various stages including breathe work, conscious awareness of your body , and finally visualization techniques. This helps release tension, reduce stress and can bring mental clarity.
Whether
you’re new to Yoga Nidra or seasoned, I am offering this session to
provide a benefit to you, and seek your support via donation.
Please choose a donation amount on this page. Once you have completed your donation, please return here and register for the Yoga Nidra session so I can send you the zoom details (approx 1
week prior to 5th Oct).
This
year, approximately 17,600 women in Victoria will be diagnosed with
cancer, and around 5,200 will die from the disease. More than 5,300
Victorian women will be diagnosed with breast or gynaecological cancer.
However, thanks to wonderful generosity like yours, the rate of women
dying from cancer is declining. Since 1994, the rate has been
consistently decreasing by 1.4% per year.Â
By living a healthy lifestyle and participating in recommended
screening programs, women can significantly reduce their risk of
developing cancer and increase their chances of discovering it early.
NB:Â I am a qualified Meditation and Pranayama Teacher, and this Yoga Nidra session is offered as a supportive, general wellbeing practice. It is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you have any health concerns or conditions (physical or mental), please consult a qualified healthcare professional before participating. By joining, you take responsibility for your own wellbeing and agree to participate at your own pace. If at any time you feel discomfort, you are encouraged to stop and take care of yourself.
This session is provided on a voluntary basis, and donations are optional. Neither the facilitator nor the charity is liable for any injury, loss, or issues arising from participation. Â
This is so cool!
