I’m hosting a High Tea and a Fancy Dress event to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Did you know that breast cancer is the most common cancer affecting Australian women?
Australia has one of the best breast cancer survival rates in the world. The incidence rate of women and men being diagnosed with breast cancer in Australia is increasing; however the mortality rate from breast cancer is decreasing.
In 2024, it is predicted that 20,973 women and 221 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer. This means that approximately 21,194 people will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year - on average, 58 people every day.
The good news is that, thanks to generous support like yours, the rate of women dying from cancer has been steadily declining. This is thanks to improvements in treatment, earlier detection through screening, and reductions in tobacco use.
I am deeply committed to saving even more lives, especially as someone very close to me was diagnosed with cancer this year. This makes it even more special to see as many people come together to support this cause. To further this effort, I am supporting Cancer Council Victoria by hosting a High Tea and a Fancy Dress event in our Melbourne & Brisbane Office 25th of October 2024. It’s the perfect opportunity to catch up with and celebrate friendship while raising vital funds.
Every dollar raised adds up and will make a huge difference to the women in our lives affected by cancer. I’d love your support if you can give to this life-saving cause!
