Finding Joy In Looking Good

By Leanne Coote

I’m hosting a Girls’ Night In on Friday 8th November to help women affected by cancer!

Every year, 15,700 Victorian women are diagnosed cancer, and 6,000 of those will be breast or gynaecological cancers. As you know, I became one of those 'statistics' earlier this year. Luckily for me I have now been cleared of the cancer, but sadly I have had some wonderful friends who were not as lucky with their prognosis & I have seen firsthand how relentless & cruel terminal cancer can be and how devastating the effects on the families that lose a loved one due to this cruel disease.

The good news is, partly due to generous donations to assist ongoing cancer research, the rate of women dying from cancers is declining.Throughout the last decade, the rate has been consistently decreasing by 1.5% per year.

I’m passionate about saving even more lives, and hope that by by hosting a Girls’ Night In for the Cancer Council I can raise more valuable funds to continue research into cancer.

The Girls Night In will be held on Friday 8th November 2019. It’s the perfect opportunity to catch up with the girls and celebrate our friendship while raising vital funds. I have teamed up with some wonderful friends from the nutrimetics community (some of whom have also been affected peronally with cancer) so that we can put on a night of fun, consisting of free gifts, opportunities to be pampered, mini facials, games.

There will be a $25 ticket charge which will include a glass of bubbly on arrival, and a take home gift valued at over $25. During the evening there will be more opportunities to win extra gifts (Lucky Door Prize, raffles and coin toss) with all profits being donated to the Cancer Council. You will also have the opportunity to preview the nutrimetics Christmas Gift range and all profits from the night will be donated to help us achieve our fundraising target of $1000 on the night.

Our Girls Night In will be held at The Royal Mail Hotel in Mooroopna from 6pm - 9pm on Friday 8th November 2019

Please reserve your place by booking via eventbrite:

I know its short notice, but I hope you will support us, you’ll be funding ground-breaking cancer research, prevention programs and support services that offer a helping hand to all Victorian women affected by cancer.

Thankyou in advance for your generous support
